Video Editor
A professional timeline video editor that runs entirely in your browser
Edit complete videos with desktop-grade tools, directly in your browser. No downloads, no installs. The Video Editor combines a refined timeline, auto-captions, per-layer visual effects, and professional audio tools in one workspace.
Overview
The Video Editor is a full timeline editor rebuilt from the ground up. It runs in the browser on any device and delivers the precision of desktop software: thumbnail timeline, multi-select editing, real-time effects, and fast in-browser export.
Timeline
- Thumbnail previews for every clip
- Multi-select to move, delete, or edit several clips at once
- Snap-to-grid alignment for precise positioning
- No overlapping clips, with intelligent placement
- Zoom controls to see the whole timeline or focus on fine detail
Auto-Captions
Generate subtitles automatically. They appear as fully editable, perfectly synced clips on the timeline, so you can adjust text, timing, and styling like any other element. Useful for social content, accessibility, and engagement.
Visual Effects Per Layer
Apply effects to any layer with granular control:
- Color grading: brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, temperature
- Motion: zoom, pan, fade in and out
- Blur: selective or full-frame
- Transitions: smooth fades and custom timing
Audio Tools
- Fade in and out for smooth transitions
- EQ controls to balance frequencies
- Audio presets for podcast, music, and voiceover
- Waveform view for precise editing
Property Panel
Four organized tabs give complete control:
- Clip: trim, split, duration, speed
- Design: text, overlays, graphics
- Effects: visual and audio effects library
- Layout: position, scale, rotation, flip
Aspect Ratios and View Modes
The editor supports a wide range of aspect ratios including cinematic 21:9 and portrait 4:5, alongside the standard formats. Cinema and full-screen modes give you an immersive editing canvas while you work, and batch operations let you apply edits across multiple clips at once.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- J / K / L: playback control (backward / pause / forward)
- Space: play and pause
- Left / Right arrows: step frame by frame
- + / -: zoom the timeline in and out
- Ctrl+0: fit the timeline to the window
Tips
- Use multi-select and batch operations to apply the same edit across many clips quickly.
- Generate auto-captions early so you can fine-tune their timing alongside the rest of the edit.
- Chain editor work with other video tools in the same session, for example dropping a background-removed clip in as a compositing layer.
