Overview
Transcription reads an audio or video file and produces a written transcript with timestamps. Use it for subtitles, podcast notes, interview records, meeting notes, and as a first step in multilingual workflows where you transcribe, translate, then regenerate the voice in another language.
Speaker Detection
When you upload audio or video with multiple speakers, Kolbo automatically detects and labels them. Each line of the transcript is attributed to the speaker who said it.

Tips
- Use clear audio for the best accuracy, minimal background noise and overlapping speech
- Specify the correct language so the model transcribes accurately
- Review speaker labels on noisy or overlapping recordings and correct any that are misattributed
